Our Classes

Class Structure and Fees

Getting Started

New Swimmers typically start by attending a one hour per week lesson, early on a Saturday morning in the learner's pool (Mermaid classes).

As girls and boys progress through the club, they can choose to swim recreationally or competitively.

At this point,  swim times will be extended and additional lessons added.

Swim Sessions Days

Covid 19 RED TRAFFIC LIGHT FRAMEWORK

At present we are working with Splash Palace on pool times for our sessions under the Red Traffic Light Framework. This will be variable based on the requirements of the pool to operate safely.

We will keep club members informed of changes via email and add times to the swim calendar. Any questions please contact Keila Patino our Head Coach.

Below is an outline of the Swim Session Structure Pre Covid- 19 Status.

We have club training sessions on: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday during school terms. Club sessions are held at Splash Palace, 56 Elles Road, InvercargillTo find Splash Palace Click here.

As swimmers skills progress, senior athletes have gym training included within the programme. The club works alongside the Academy Southland Gym at ILT Stadium Southland. To find out information about Academy Southland Click here

During the lead up to competitions swimmers maybe asked to participate in additional training sessions.

Synchro is an all-year round sport.

We generally take a break during the summer school holidays and may take short breaks during the other school holidays for planning unless running an athletes camp.

Competitions Local, National and International

Each year, girls and boys have the opportunity to compete at the South Island Championships and New Zealand National Championships.

Swimmers with potential have opportunities to represent New Zealand. The selection process is run by Synchro Swim New Zealand.

Swimmers can be selected to be part of New Zealand development squads Pikopiko and Koru teams.

There are further selection opportunities held to compete in international competitions.

Athletes also require different star levels for figures and routines to attend New Zealand National Championships.
